MEMORIAL: OCTOBER 12
St. Carlo Acutis was born in London to Italian parents on May 3, 1991, but Carlo’s family soon moved to Milan, Italy, for his father’s job. As a teenager, Carlo was interested in computers, technology, and the internet. He saw these tools as an opportunity to spread the Good News of Jesus, but their use must be appropriate and moderate. As a teen, Carlo helped his parish and school build and update their website.
Also during his youth, Carlo formed a deep love for Jesus in the Eucharist. He attended mass often and relished his time in Eucharistic adoration. He used his skills to create a website that documented Eucharistic Miracles across the globe in hopes that the information would help others believe in the true presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Through his faithfulness, he brought his parents back to the faith.
Carlo died from acute Leukemia on October 12, 2006, at the age of 15. He offered his sufferings for the Pope and the Church. He was Canonized on September 7, 2025, and is the first Millennial to be named a saint by the Catholic Church.
