CATHERINE LEAVER

Catherine Leaver holds her Bachelor’s in English from the University of Dallas and her Master’s in English from the University of Virginia. She has taught English as a Second Language to students in the Czech Republic, undergraduate writing at the University of Virginia, and middle and high school literature at an all-girls Catholic school in northern Virginia. In addition to writing content for Decided Excellence Catholic Media, Catherine enjoys writing children’s books based on stories passed down through her large extended family. Catherine is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but currently lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband. One of her favorite quotes comes from her namesake and one of her favorite saints, St. Catherine of Siena: “Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.”
