Ryan Weiland

Ryan Weiland grew up in a large Catholic family in Phoenix, Arizona. He learned to love the liberal arts at one of the Great Hearts academies there, especially Latin and Greek. He is currently a student of Theology at the University of Dallas where he finished his studies of Classical languages and, having already enjoyed reading Chesterton, was first introduced to Scholastic philosophy and Thomistic theology. When he is not pursuing these studies, Ryan plays bluegrass and folk music on his guitar, competes in Ultimate Frisbee, and indulges in the occasional cappuccino. Most times when faced with choosing favorites he is paralyzed, but having been unable ever to escape his love of Lewis’ That Hideous Strength, his favorite quote is, “You do not fail in obedience through lack of love, but have lost love because you never attempted obedience.”
